Apa itu ASME
December 28th, 2007
Kode ASME Seksi VIII

Seiko SKX779K review

Watch History
- Date acquired: Sep 12 2003
- Production date: Jan 2003
- Source: Spark Time Trading, Pertama Complex
- Price paid: MYR480 (USD143)
- Status: In production
Background
The SKX779K, or affectionately known as the “Black Monster” by watch collectors around the world is a total departure from the classic diver lineage inherited by the 7s26-0020 or the SKX007K model and its siblings. It was first introduced in 2000 but I only caught sight of the watch in 2003 when my watch collecting hobby started.
Slovakia
December 21st, 2007
The Slovaks are a stout, nomadic warrior race hailing from the vast steppes of Central Europe. They are most easily distinguished from the neighbouring Czechs by their diminutive stature, their long beards, and their unmatched skill with metallurgy. Their ferocity in battle comes mainly from the mastery of Aurimentium, a legendary metal which is 4000 times stronger than steel.
I have found that the Slovaks are actually an extremely hospitable people, so long as you respect their local custom. If you are ever lucky enough to be invited into a Slovak household, it is absolutely crucial that you follow the traditional procedure to the letter. My old travelling companion Augustus Flynn once broke protocol during a Slovak feast (He held his fork in the left hand while making an offensive gesture with his right hand -- A classic rookie mistake) and found himself drawn and quartered in the village square as a result.
The rules are relatively simple, so long as you aren't some kind of idiot. When you first cross the threshold, give your host a firm handshake and look him square in the eye. If he smiles, that's an invitation to give him a long and confident hug. After the introduction, kill your host. (Preferably with a dagger. Non-bladed weapons are considered undignified.) Once his heart has stopped beating, seek out his eldest son, who will now be the head of the household. Your new host will be grateful that you advanced his status in the clan, and might even offer you a seat at the family's high table. Congratulations! You are now considered an honoured guest. (Be careful not stay for more than seven days, however, or you risk being branded a coward.)
Since joining the European Union in 2004, Slovakia has had to re-examine how it deals with its minorities. The largest minority population in the country is a caste of cave-dwelling half breeds known as the "Red" (or "Low") Slovaks. At the instigation of authorities in Brussels, the old folk practice of sacrificing a Red Slovak to the wind god Balathurr before the New Year's Feast is being gradually phased out. Red Slovaks are now generally sacrificed to Thyrn, the god of storms.
Experimental investigation and analysis for bearing strength behavior of composite laminates
December 19th, 2007
abstract: An investigation of joint strength in bolted connections for Carbon unitape material [0/45/-45/90]3s is presented. The simple case of bearing double shear joint is considered. In the first stage the objective of work was to test three different material configurations with three lay up sequences and further reduce to one material and one lay up sequence which yields maximum Bearing strength. Further this material with maximum bearing strength was used to study the effects of various geometrical parameters such as edge to width ratio, width to diameter ratio, hole clearance, external factors such as temperature and clamp up force on the bearing strength. The second objective of thesis was to build a 3D finite element model for the quasi-isotropic material, validate the results with the experimental results and provide a future scope to use this model for various combinations of material and parametric studies.

Design of a two stage epicyclic gearbox in sintered metal gears
December 19th, 2007
abstract: The goal of this thesis was to research and develop epicyclic spur gearbox for sintering manufacturing process. Sintered type of manufacturing process has been in place for quite a long time, though its usage has been limited by knowledge in the material, processes and design of these parameters integrated together for optimization. The pages to follow provide information on Sintering process and the design of gear parts. The focus has been to investigate different type of sinter materials and design a 2-stage gearbox with high efficiency. Other aim is also to showcase the advantage of using methods of manufacturing that save cost and provide a reliable product.
