ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE
UCI Racecar Engineering
- Electric Vehicle Conversion – Designed plug-in charging system, wired high voltage system, analyzed electrical performance.
- Formula SAE Hybrid Racecar – Built and tested hybrid gas-electric racecar for the 2009 SAE event with 10 teammates.
- Turbo-diesel – Designed a turbo-diesel system for the 2010 UCI racecar. Modeled turbocharger in SolidWorks and investigated various gasket materials.
- Suspension Lead – Led three engineers in constructing, and implementing a single-rear-wheel, swing-arm suspension system on an autocross conversion.
- Team Lead – Led 13 engineers in manufacturing an autocross racecar, with additional emphasis on design and testing. Responsible for communication and organization within the team.
MAE Senior Mechanical Engineering Design
- Designed, built, and tested a Rube Goldberg device with three engineers in a comprehensive project that addressed customer needs issues as part of an engineering design process model.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), UCI Student Chapter
- Built a 1:10 gasoline powered, remote control car with three first-year, engineering students. Worked with elements such as coil-over shocks and open differentials.
